Camo Deer Skull 28×22 acrylic on canvas

Here is a side project I have been working on for awhile. I have done camo before on my Hunter Pinup Girl painting but went about it a little differently this time. I used spray paint for the background and added the foreground with a brush. I used sea sponge, fake leafs and crumpled newspapers to get the background effect.

Due to relocating my live in studio this one took me awhile to complete. I had lots of fun with this one and may create some more young monsters to add to my collection. This painting is available for purchase and if interested please contact me.

Coming along… finished up the icing and laid down my the black shirt and black foreground base colour. While painting today I listened to a few different you tube videos about marketing my art, and different ways of getting it out in front of a larger audience. Yesterday I set a new personal best for myself for views on http://www.artpal.com/carlosolivier with more views in one day than all previous days combined (I must be learning).

So I started the cake and initially did it in purple. I felt it didn’t POP enough so I decided to make the icing blue.

 

So I added some fog to the background and added a foreground. I will be adding a headstone for my zombie to sit on and thinking about adding some crows.

Hello, I just got my website set up and this is my first post. I hope you all enjoy my art as much as I did creating it. I have also started working on a new painting of a pin up girl, My idea for this one is a zombie pin up. I have had several people suggest this idea and it seemed like it would be a fun project. So far I have just come up with a cool looking purple star system for the background I hope to add some headstones and creepy looking trees. For the zombie babe I am thinking of doing a pastel green skin tone with a girl reaching out to the viewer as if to grab them. If anyone has any ideas on how to improve this concept I am always open to suggestions.
